Mission
The world faces problems beyond imagination - and we help to find solutions. At the moment our focus is scientific and creative research and consulting in the fields of sustainable energy and water solutions. To this end we currently are in the process of working out cooperations with ethically oriented private corporations, transnational organisations and NGO's. I (Stefan Thiesen) have been involved as researcher, writer, consultant, volunteer and activist in the environmental sector for 25 years. After heavy disappointments with crackpots, con artists and self-proclaimed ethical corporations whose "ethics" consisted of nothing else but a religious pursuit of money, I am happy to now have a position with a truly ethical company: Wagner & Co, where I work as technical editor in the R&D department. Wagner & Co is a leading Solar energy company and a hub of innovation. The company is employee owned, has its roots in the 70s anti nuclear movement and recently received the highly acclaimed "Ethics in Business" award in Germany.
Focus
MindQuest as a company does not exist anymore, however, at Wagner & Co we established a group called "Project-Team Sustainable Technology Transfer". We already have successful solar energy based aid projects operating in Nigeria, Tansania and Belorus. Solar school lighting, solar water pumping, solar cooling & lighting for health posts, solar heating for a school dining hall. More projects are under development.
